Govt, PTI to hold the final round of talks on May 2 over elections
ISLAMABAD: The government led by the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and the opposition Pakistan People's Party (PTI) will hold "final talks" on Tuesday (May 2nd) after the former party decided it was Incredible for both parties.
Following the second meeting in the Senate committee room on Friday, both sides decided to consult with their leaders and friends on the proposals presented at the meeting.
The two delegations hope to finish on Tuesday, but the PTI warned that talks could "derail" if police continue to arrest officials. Meeting number
is essential for ending the illegal election, which caused chaos in the country, led to the economic crisis and caused the Supreme Court to regularly discuss politicians and find
solutions.
The court gave the politicians until April 26 to set the election date, but no progress was made within the time limit. At yesterday's hearing, the SEC said the negotiations could not be enforced on either side.
President of the Court, Umar Ata Bandial, "The Court cannot force [the parties] to negotiate. The Court only wants to apply the law to resolve the dispute." said.
However, the leader of the PDM and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), Maulana Fazlur Rehman, decided to stay away from the talks as he believed that the talks with his party Imran Khan PTI would not bear fruit.
