JI wants PM Shehbaz to take 'trust vote from nation'

responded to Prime Minister Sheikh Baz Sharif's vote of confidence from the National Assembly on Thursday, saying it would be better if the president continued to receive popular votes.
PM Shehbaz earned NA's vote of confidence earlier today as 180 MNA expressed confidence in their leadership.
Haq, who was instrumental in bringing together the current government and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PTI), stressed the need for general elections to end the political stability in the crisis and pull the country out of the conflict.
The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM)-led government and PTI finally sat down in today's meeting to discuss the election date, according to the Supreme Court.
Sources told Geo News that the first session of the meeting was held in Capitol Group 3 and lasted about two hours, with both sides discussing leadership positions.
The second meeting will be held tomorrow.
Speaking to reporters, the JI emir said that in order to be successful, the two sides must facilitate negotiations.
"The parliament and the judiciary are facing each other," he said.
